Julie's Tour a Great Success
Julie rounded off her short but sweet 'home-soil' 7 concert Tour with a great gig last night in The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh, with the enthusiastic crowd asking for more of the same!!!
This much anticipated Tour which started with a very special 'one-off' performance by Julie as part of the 'A National Treasure V' - a tribute to the late, great piper Gordon Duncan - at a packed Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 24 September; moved on to a sold-out Woodend Barn in Banchory on Sunday 25 September, and then went from Inverness to excellent nights in Durham, Kendal and Dunfermline before concluding last night (Sunday 2 October) in Edinburgh.
Julie, with her excellent band (Éamon Doorley, Tony Byrne, Duncan Chisholm and Martin O'Neill) has been most warmly received at all venues and she wants to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came along to all the concerts.
Julie, speaking last night in Edinburgh said “this has been a very special Tour as I, along with the band, have been performing some lesser heard tracks, rarely performed live in concert before, but the highlight was to be able to perform our 'Live at Perthshire Amber' Album material – all of which was recorded in one night in Pitlochry last October and launched at Celtic Connections in January 2011”.
Julie and the band will have a well earned break now before getting ready to Tour in the USA later this month and into November. More news on this to follow but meantime, all Tour dates, venues and ticket information can be found at the 'Tour Dates' page.
