Very exciting news - Julie Fowlis will be a featured artist on a new album by Aled Jones. The double CD, entitled “Aled Jones presents Good Morning Sunday” will be released next week, and features an incredible list of performers, including Aled himself, Eva Cassidy, Aretha Franklin, Alison Krauss, Sarah MacLachlin, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Badly Drawn Boy, Kate Rusby, Al Green, Martin Simpson, Loudoun Wainwright and even Elvis Presley! Julie performs an exclusive song that she and husband Éamon recorded last year for the BBC Radio 2 show Good Morning Sunday, with Aled. It is a previously unreleased track from Julie – a spiritual song called “Do làmh, a Chriosda” (“Your hand, O Lord”) written by Dòmhnall Iain MacDhòmhnaill and the music by Iseabail T. Dhòmhnallach.
Listen out for Julie and Éamon returning to Aled’s BBC Radio 2 show on Easter Sunday, performing a new song ”An gràdh a thug thu dhomhsa” (“The love you gave to me”) and chatting about touring, religion and life on the road.
