Julie presenting on BBC Radio 2 this evening

Hi folks, I will be presenting a programme on BBC Radio 2 this evening - 'Keeping Christmas Traditions Alive in North Wales'.  Tune in at 2200 to hear it!  It was a lovely experience for me to learn about these gorgeous singing traditions, have a listen and see for yourself! x

'dual' nominated as 'Album of the Year 2009'!

Julie's Scottish/Irish collaboration 'dual' with husband Éamon Doorley, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and Ross Martin has been nominated as 'Album of the Year 2009' at the Scots Trad Music Awards.

We are all really chuffed to be nominated, and it's all decided by public vote so if you want to lend us a bit of support, you can vote here at the Hands Up for Trad website.  Spread the word!! xxx

Julie voted Singer of the Year 2009 at the Hancock Awards

Julie has been named winner of the 2009 vote for Singer of the Year, at the Hancock Awards (AKA 'Not the BBC Folk Awards'), publicly voted awards named in memory of Carey "Ces' Hancock, a founder member of Talkawhile music forum and an enthusiastic supporter of all music.
